2026 Honoree, Mike Ross

Mike Ross is a dedicated educator and leader who has made a lasting impact on students and the Berkley community. A 1991 graduate of Berkley High School, he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Secondary Mathematics Education, along with an Education Specialist Certificate in School Administration, from Wayne State University. Mike began his career teaching at Detroit Southeastern High School (1997–2001), then returned to Berkley High School as a mathematics teacher (2001–2007) and later served as Assistant Principal (2007–2014). Since 2014, he has been the Principal at Anderson Middle School, where he continues to support and inspire students, staff, and families. In addition, Mike has been an invaluable partner to the Tri-Community Coalition, serving as a trusted liaison between the organization and local schools. His collaboration and ongoing support have helped strengthen connections and expand programming that benefits students and the broader community.
